TP6 –Evonik Chair of Organic Chemistry, Ruhr-Universität Bochum

The group of Lukas Gooßen has profound expertise in organic synthetic method development, particularly of transition metal-catalyzed processes. These include oxidative C-H functionalizations and decarboxylative transformations of carboxylic and carbonic acid derivatives and electrochemical arene functionalizations. The group has experience in designing parallel laboratory reactors and automated analysis techniques, and has developed a fully integrated electronic laboratory system.
